About Kroemtech
Engineers who moved from building industrial software to protecting it.
Kroemtech is composed by software engineers who spent years working inside industrial systems — writing embedded firmware, PLC logic, backend services and the interfaces operators use every shift.
Working at that level, one thing became hard to ignore. Industrial equipment is being connected faster than it is being secured. Machines designed for isolated networks now sit behind cellular routers, remote support tunnels and cloud platforms. The engineering effort goes into making the connection work. The question of what that connection exposes is usually asked later, if at all.
We started Kroemtech to ask it earlier.
How we work with clients
We are a small, senior team. The people who assess your system are the people who do the work — there is no layer between the engineer and the client.
We do not resell hardware or security products, so our recommendations are not shaped by what we happen to sell. If the right answer is a configuration change rather than a purchase, that is what we will tell you.
And we would rather scope a project down than sell you something you do not need. In OT, unnecessary measures are not just wasted budget — they get switched off, and they take the necessary ones with them.
What we believe
Availability is a security requirement.
A control system that is protected but unavailable has failed. Any measure that cannot survive a production week is not a measure.
Standards over slogans.
We work to IEC 62443 because it gives structure to decisions that are otherwise argued from opinion. It is a framework for thinking, not a certificate to collect.
Facts, checked.
Industrial cybersecurity attracts a lot of confident claims. We would rather verify a number than repeat it.
Leave it maintainable.
Our aim is to hand back an environment your own team can run, document and defend without calling us. Security that depends on the consultant is not security.
Who we work with
Machine builders, system integrators and plant operators, including in chemical manufacturing — environments where production cannot simply stop, and where safety and regulatory obligations shape what a security measure is permitted to do.
Kroemtech was founded in 2023 and is based at the Business Parc in Reinach, Basel-Landschaft. Client work is delivered by a small senior team, supported by a partner engineering company within the group.
